Directions & Map

Faculty of English Language and Literature, St Cross Building, Manor Road, Oxford, OX1 3UL

The Faculty is based in the St Cross Building, a large, imposing building on the corner of Manor Road and St Cross Road.

To find the Faculty Office:
Progress up the main stairs at the front of the building
Take the first door on the left hand side, a short way up the stairs (also marked for the English Faculty Library)
Progress down the stairs and turn left at the bottom
Follow the corridor around (it bends to the right) and the Faculty Office is the open door at the end of the corridor

To find the main Lecture Theatres:
Progress up the main stairs at the front of the building
Take the second door on the left hand, approximately 2/3 of the way up the stairs
This brings you into the main 'core' of the building, and most of the lecture theatres are located off this atrium (down the stairs)
The portersoffice is directly to your left as you enter the doors

For visitors with a disability:
Most rooms in the St Cross Building (including all lecture theatres) are accessible to individuals unable to use stairs. If you know in advance that you will be visiting the building and have access difficulties, please call us on 01865 271 055 and we will make arrangements to meet you. Alternatively, there is a door at the bottom of the main stairs, with a bell to contact the porters who will be able to show you to your destination.
