MisAppropriation: Oxford English Postgraduate Conference

You are cordially invited to this year’s Oxford English Postgraduate Conference taking place on Friday 4th June (6th week). The conference and will feature 33 papers on the theme of Mis/Appropriation by research students from Oxford and beyond.
We are also very pleased to have Professor David Lawton open the conference with a survey of mis/appropriation throughout literary history. At midday, a faculty panel, consisting of Professors Elleke Boehmer and Laura Marcus, and Dr Rebecca Bullard will debate the notion of ‘Impact’ in relation to literary studies. To close, best-selling author Philip Pullman will be discussing the conference theme in relation to his latest publication with Professor Hermione Lee.

The conference provides breakfast and lunch for all its participants. Everyone is invited to join for dinner at Al-Shami restaurant in Jericho. Dinner will be part-subsidised by the Faculty.
