Welcome to Old
English Literature: A Hypertext Coursepack. This site
is designed to help you study the primary texts that have
been included on the first year Old English Course in preparation
for the paper 5 and paper 6 exams. A range of resources are
available including primary texts with a running glossary
and notes, instantly accessible online articles and reading
lists, translations, contextual information and sources of
the poem. There are also a number of exercises for you to
do to help you study the texts in greater detail and links
to online past examination papers.
At this time only one text, "The
Battle of Maldon" has been included on the site, however
others will be added shortly. If you would like to comment
on this site or make any suggestions concerning resources
