Admission
Masters Programmes
We offer a 1 year M.St. programme and a 2-year M.Phil. in Medieval Studies.
Our Masters programmes are designed to serve both as an autonomous degree and as a solid foundation for those who wish to pursue more advanced research in English language or literature in Oxford or elsewhere. One of the special features of these degrees is that, unlike many master's programmes, you are provided with opportunities to pursue topics across period boundaries if you so wish.
PRS/D.Phil.
All candidates for doctoral degrees are admitted for a first year as Probationer Research Students (PRS), and will be required to submit an application for transfer to D.Phil. status at the beginning of the third term of the first year. The deadline for applying for doctoral work is 20 January 2012.
