Open Days
If you can, it is a really good idea to visit Oxford before making an application, in order to get a sense of the place and to look round possible colleges. All colleges hold open days during the course of the year. Details of these are generally available on college web-pages or may be obtained from the Admissions office at each college.
The English Faculty also holds a number of open days throughout the year. All open days are arranged on a drop-in basis and there is no need to book in advance.
In 2012, open days will take place on:
Wednesday 27 & Thursday 28 June, from 10.00 until 4.00
Friday 14 September (tbc)
At all our open days, students, academics, and members of administrative staff will be available to answer any questions, and short introductory talks on applying for and studying English at Oxford will take place. During the June days, 'mini-lectures' on academic subjects in English will also be offered to give visitors a taste of the course here.
Prospective applicants for our joint schools are welcome at any of our open days.
Many colleges are also open for visits during these days; further details are available on the University Admissions website, or direct from colleges.
