Open Days
If you possibly can, it really is a good idea to visit Oxford in advance of your application, in order to get a sense of the place and to look round possible colleges to which you might apply. All colleges hold open days during the course of the year. Details of these are generally available on the college's web-page or may be obtained from the Admissions office at each college.
The English Faculty Open Days for 2009 will be:
Wednesday 1st and Thursday 2nd July, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Friday 18th September, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
No booking is required for either of these events.
At all days, students, academics, and members of administrative staff will be available to answer any questions, and short introductory talks on applying for and studying English at Oxford will be available. During the July days, 'mini-lectures' will also be offered to give visitors a taste of the course here.
Prospective applicants for our joint schools are welcome at any of our open days.
