Grade 6: 28,098 p.a. (pro-rata)
This part-time post (0.1 FTE) is offered from 1 September (or as soon as possible after this date), for a fixed term of 18 months.
Reporting to the Director of the Oxford Centre for Textual and Editorial Theory (OCTET), Professor Seamus Perry, the post holder will belong to a group with responsibility for the provision of research support for OCTET. The post holder will provide advice and guidance to research students and members of the English Faculty where appropriate. One of the principal tasks of the officer is to help establish the Centre, a new initiative based in the English Faculty, and the duties of the post will include scoping funding and other opportunities, and building a website to publicise the Centre’s activities.
Applicants should possess a first degree, and should have or be working toward a doctorate in a relevant area of English literary studies. They should have sufficient knowledge in the fields of editorial and textual studies to work within existing research programmes, and should also possess the ability to manage their own research and associated administrative activities, and have excellent communication skills including experience in writing for publication.
