Supported by a Clarendon Scholarship and a North Senior Scholarship, Namratha completed her DPhil in English at the University of Oxford in October 2019. She is a scholar of early modern poetry, poetics and rhetoric with particular research and teaching interests in the intersection between theories and histories of embodiment, the history of science, the history of moral thought, and literary form. She is a Stipendiary Lecturer in Early Modern English at Hertford College (2019-2021), and a visiting fellow at both the Osler Library of the History of Medicine (Montreal, QC) and the Huntington Library (San Marino, CA). In September 2021, she will join UCL as a Leverhulme Early Career Research Fellow in the Humanities.
