Doctoral Research: My doctoral thesis explores the representations and functions of visual art in contemporary Anglo-American fiction. I focus on the figure of the artist, the artistic process and the work of art in novels by Donna Tartt, Amy Sackville, Hanya Yanagihara, Claire Messud, Siri Hustvedt and others.
