Astor Lecture: ‘Coastal Literature and the Twentieth Century: Ireland and the Atlantic World’

The Astor Lecture 2017 will be given by Professor Nicholas Allen, Franklin Professor of English and Director of the Willson Centre for Humanities and Arts at the University of Georgia.  He is an authority on Irish Literature and Archipelagic studies; his books include Broken Landscapes: Selected Letters of Erneie O'Malley, Modernism, Ireland and Civil War; George Russell and the New Ireland.
