Every year Oxford’s English Faculty admits around 240 students to study for an undergraduate degree in English. In doing so, these students join the UK’s largest and one of the world’s top-ranked English departments: we held the top spot on the QS World University ranking for English Language and Literature for 9 consecutive years from 2016 to 2025.
