Dr Stephen Bernard awarded Bibliographical Society Research Fellowship

Stephen Bernard

Dr Stephen Bernard has been awarded the prestigious Katharine F. Pantzer Jr. Research Fellowship for his research into the publishing house of Tonson from the 1670s to the 1760s.

The fellowship is an occasional award of up to £4000 made by the Bibliographical Society, intended to provide assistance with immediate and long-term research needs. It has been made possible by a generous bequest from the estate of bibliographer Katharine F. Pantzer Jr.

Dr Bernard's Literary Correspondences of the Tonsons, the only in-print edition of the correspondence of a publishing house from this period, is available through Oxford University Press.
