Congratulations to Professor Malachi McIntosh, whose short story collection, Parables, Fables, Nightmares, has been shortlisted for the Edge Hill Short Story Prize 2024.
According to the Edge Hill website, "the competition celebrates emerging and established writers, highlighting the diverse voices and exceptional talents of contemporary short story writers from across the UK and Ireland".
The prize was established in 2006 "to highlight the intricate artisanship of short story writing and acknowledge the wealth of published collections available". It is the only prize for published, single-authored short story collections in the country.
