Professor Marion Turner's book on Chaucer wins the Rose Mary Crawshay Prize

Chaucer A European Life book cover

Congratulations to Professor Marion Turner who has won the Rose Mary Crawshay Prize for Chaucer: A European Life. The Rose Mary Crawshay Prize is awarded annually to female scholars for work in the field of English Literature.

Professor Marion Turner is delighted to have won the prize:

It is an extraordinary honour to be awarded the British Academy Rose Mary Crawshay prize, and to follow in the footsteps of so many brilliant women. Writing a biography was a new venture for me, and it involved thinking creatively about the shape of a life, and about how life and poetry can productively be connected.
