Professor of Poetry election: shortlist announced

A shortlist of applicants for the Professorship of Poetry has been announced. There are four candidates: Christian Bök, Mark Ford, Don Paterson, and A E Stallings. You can read their statements on the Oxford University website:

The successful candidate will be determined by members of Convocation who will be entitled to vote on the shortlist. Convocation consists of all the former student members of the University who have been admitted to a degree (other than an honorary degree) of the University, and of any other persons who are members of Congregation or who have retired having been members of Congregation on the date of their retirement. 

Members of Convocation who wish to vote in this election must register their intention before noon on 12 May 2023 using the following form:

Voters will be sent instructions on how to vote once their eligibility to vote has been verified. Registered voters will be able to vote online from 18 May to noon on 15 June 2023.
