Professor Marion Turner, Chair of the English Faculty Board, said: 'At the English Faculty in Oxford we combine intensive student-focused teaching with cutting-edge research and publication. We are able to do so well because of our world-class academics, the rigorous and dynamic nature of our courses, and our extraordinary facilities. Above all, we work hard to attract and select brilliant students, who come to us in love with literature, and eager to learn and participate. Studying English at Oxford is exciting and also challenging - we want to get the best out of students, and to equip them for all kinds of different paths in life.'
