Keynote lecture to end the day's symposium on Documenting Trauma: Comics and the Politics of Memory.

Professor Hillary Chute, Northeastern University and Harvard University, author of Graphic Women: Life Narrative and Contemporary Comics (2010) and Disaster Drawn: Visual Witness, Comics, and Documentary Form (2016), and Associate Editor of Art Spiegelman’s MetaMaus (2011), will reflect on the ways in which comics contribute to debates about violence and spectacle on the world-political stage.
