Our next Open Day for state schools will be on 8th March 2025, 10.30am – 2.30pm. The Open Day is an online event, featuring taster lectures, information about the admissions process, plus a Q&A with current students.
The event is open to all state school pupils and their teachers. It is aimed at Year 12s.

10:30 – 10:35 Welcome and introduction from
Kirsten Shepherd is Professor of English and Theatre Studies here in the Faculty, and serving as Schools Liaison until 2026. My main research areas are (1) the interaction between theatre and science; (2) the works of Henrik Ibsen; (3) digital reading and literary entrepreneurship, as in my LitHits project. For St Catherine's College, where I'm a Fellow, I teach the first-year Victorian and Modern literature papers as well as supervising finalists' dissertations.
