Congratulations to Henry Barlow (Kellogg College), who has been awarded this year’s Matthew Arnold Memorial Prize for his essay 'Approaching Perfection'; a response to the prompt: 'Individual perfection is impossible so long as the rest of mankind are not perfected along with us'.
Henry commented: "Much of my research focuses on the interactions between literary creation, belletristic journalism, and literary scholarship, so Matthew Arnold is a towering figure in the histories I examine. It is an honour to have received a prize in his name."
