Congratulations to A.E. Stallings, Professor of Poetry, who has been elected as an international member of the American Philosophical Society. The American Philosophical Society was founded in 1743 by Benjamin Franklin. Early members of the society included Founding Fathers George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton. The Society now has around 1,000 Members, including 160 International Members.
