Bernardine Evaristo: Visiting Professor of Creative Media talk recording

We were delighted to welcome Bernardine Evaristo to Oxford as this year's Visiting Professor of Creative Media. As part of the Professorship, she gave a talk at the Sheldonian Theatre on 6 May 2026 entitled: 'The Girl from Woolwich: A Creative Life'.

In the talk, Bernardine Evaristo explored how her creativity was shaped by her origins in London of the Sixties and the choices she has made to sustain a lifelong career as a writer.
