Fixed-Term Lecturer in Early Modern English (Corpus Christi College)

Corpus Christi College proposes to appoint a fixed-term Lecturer in Early Modern English Literature for the period 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027. The Lecturer will be required to teach for the undergraduate degree of English for up to 8 hours weekly and should be able to provide tuition across the full range of the undergraduate syllabus in the period 1550 – 1760. The Lecturer will be expected to share responsibility for the administration of English and provide pastoral care to students.

The Lecturer will receive a pensionable salary in the range £22,540 and £24,892 (to be pro-rated), full High Table rights for the period of the appointment, research allowable expenses and a student entertainment allowance. They will be entitled to the use of a shared room in College but not to accommodation.
