Thesis Title: Legal and Literary Complaint, 1550-1625
Supervisor: Professor Lorna Hutson
My thesis considers the interrelation of poetic and legal plaint in sixteenth and early seventeenth century England. My research is supported by the Clarendon Fund, the OOC-DTP, and Magdalen College. Before beginning the DPhil, I completed the M.St. English (1550-1700) at Merton College and read for a BA in English at UCL.
